Featuring:
Christina Katopodis, Ph.D. Candidate in English and FI Graduate Fellow

This event will begin with a simple activity: clear your cache, or open a browser you never use, and google your name. Are you happy with what you see? Take this opportunity to think about what a search committee sees when they google you. We’ll talk about developing a personal website, increasing clicktivity, what you can and cannot control on the internet, debates about using LinkedIn and Academia.edu, and how to use Twitter to develop a professional network. Please bring your laptop and join us for a informal brownbag lunch; no RSVP required.

  • March 15: Understanding the IRB, Part II (with Kashema Hutchinson)
  • April 19: Writing for the Public: An Op-Ed Workshop (with Tanya Domi)
  • May 3: Teaching and Learning with New Majority Students: Lessons Learned from the CUNY Humanities Alliance (with Kitana Ananda)
