A public group for all those interested in learning more about Mapping the Futures of Higher Education, hearing about events, and participating in conversations pedagogy, higher education, and institutional change.
We are excited to meet you at the Futures Initiative Celebration on May 22 from 5-7pm at the Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue, NY. If you have not RSVP’d yet, you can do so here: http://bit.ly/futures-reception. You are welcome to bring guests (including children, though we will not be able to provide childcare). It should be a very fun and proud moment when you will also be receiving the formal Futures Initiative Scholar Certificate of Achievement.
If you cannot be at the May 22 Celebration, please contact your professors after the event. They will be able to send you a pdf of the Certificate of Achievement.
We are also pleased to be hearing from students who want to apply for the FI Mentorship program. Although the workshop is scheduled for August 18-19, please apply even if you aren’t sure if you can attend those days (and let us know about the scheduling problem). We might be able to hold a “make-up workshop” for prospective mentors at another time. We don’t want anyone to miss out on this valuable professional development opportunity. Please write us if you have questions.
The May 22 reception will be a rare chance for you to meet other students and professors from all over the CUNY system. We will be exhibiting your work, celebrating your success, and just having a very good time. We look forward to meeting you!
