Jasmeene Francois is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Theatre and Performance Program at the Graduate Center. Her research interests include theatre history pedagogy, practice as research, African Diasporic performance practices, avant-garde performance, and activating archives through Applied Theater practice. Through her work as a performance maker and teaching artist, Jasmeene works with emerging playwrights to develop new work and specializes in facilitating creative workshops centered around oral storytelling, devising, and creative writing that address home and belonging. She teaches World Theatre History as an adjunct lecturer at Brooklyn College.
