Meditation is SO key!

Hi Everyone! I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been finding this chapter so difficult to study… probably because everything for my other classes have been piling up so quickly!! STRESSED isn’t even the word at this point. Anyway I’ve decided to try Professor Lissemore’s advice of meditating before studying and it really worked! I did it for just 20 minutes and I felt so much calmer afterwards. It helped me contain a lot more of the information for the quiz tomorrow. I seriously recommend it if you are stressing like I was!

LehmAnatomy and Physiology cheer

I love the cheer. It was awesome and exciting. After sitting in the classroom for an hour and becoming tired, doing the cheer was just so cool. I feel like we were refilling energy to ourselves. By doing this, I feel like we are identifying ourselves as a part of the class and telling people that we are so proud of being a part of this class.

Friday’s Meditation Session

Hey all,

I’m not sure about the rest of you but I really enjoyed the experiment Friday.  Just being able to feel the difference between rushing into a “test” situation and taking the time to close your eyes and meditate for a few minutes, release the stress, and empty your mind of unwanted distractions.  What a huge difference!  Those of you not used to meditation may find it hard to find focus and empty your minds or you just may find it silly.  Either way, if you practice at home before you work your study sheets or review you will find it easier to find your quiet place and your study time will be more focused and driven!

Have a great week everyone and Nameste!

Back at it!

I hope everyone had a great spring break! I’m the type of person that uses the “spring break” title to not have to do anything.. It might be a bad thing, I didn’t look at anything, including the blog the whole break… Oops! But now that it’s over, I’m ready to finish up the semester and get the summer started! I hope everyone does well this Friday on the quiz, and all the others to come, good luck to all!

May be helpful!

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to post here that the Speech Pathology Club has reserved classrooms on certain days for Speech Pathology students or students taking similar classes to Speech Pathology. It could be a quiet place to study and/or do homework… there may also be other students there who can help you out with anything you’re having trouble with. It may be helpful or good to try out! I posted the flyer here.
