I am the Director of E-Learning at Borough of Manhattan Community College, City University of New York. For the last 17 years, I’ve worked as an administrator directing technology enhanced and online higher education programs. I have eight years of higher education teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level, with a special emphasis on educational technology.
During my career, I’ve been fortunate to work and consult on many grant and grant writing projects and I now serve as Director of BMCC’s 2.8 million Title V Hispanic Serving Institutions federal grant to build and assess the e-learning program. The grant program has enabled BMCC’s to transform its program through the adoption and implementation of a best practices for e-learning based on OLC’s five pillars.
My other areas of expertise include general educational technology, online pedagogy, games-based learning, brain science, digital storytelling, e-portfolios, e-learning assessment, and innovative uses of technology to improve student learning outcomes and persistence.
I am hoping to complete my Ph.D. in Urban Education and Leadership by Spring 2016!
