It takes a lot of courage to ask for help. Good for you, Ilka.
You might also post this message on the blog site. This is the group forum, where there is less activity.
Look under “Sites” instead of under “Groups”. It’s still called A&P@Lehman.

Hi Julianna. Welcome aboard! Maybe we could talk about starting our own version of a podcast with the recordings that you’re making. What do you think?
Perhaps someone in the class who is tech savvy could help set that up. -

So many great points are being made all around. I share Hilarie’s concern about student-centered pedagogies taking longer. In particular, in the sciences we not only have tremendous amounts of material to cover, we also have colleagues down the road who are counting on the students’ knowledge of the material. I don’t want to be just the filler of…[Read more]

Hey All,
I’m having trouble opening “Questions I would ask myself if I were a teacher.” Anyone have a solution?
Regarding the two questions:
I think that I’m pretty much a work-in-progress when it comes to teaching Anatomy of the Speech Mechanism in a format that would serve as an alternative to lecturing. Granted, my lectures are pretty inte…[Read more]

Hi Sharene,
You are definitely in the right spot. I am also in your class. I sit in the back in the middle row last seat against the wall. My name is Ilka. Hopefully we can navigate this this together. Talk with you soon.

Hi again Sharene,
So as it turns out, you are in the A&P forum, which is under GROUPS. You’ll find more class activity under SITES, which is where we also have an A&P@Lehman page. Hope that clears things up a bit!

You’ve gotten a great conversation going here Natalie! I’m thinking that these longer, more detailed syllabi must have come from somewhere, right? And that ‘somewhere’ may be that when a syllabus is brief, which could also connote vagueness, interpretation might rule the day.
