Group Project: Voiceover

In class, we mentioned the concept of a biographic approach to an artist’s work.
I’d like to work with a group on a voiceover, like the one we heard in class, on a few pieces of art by Vincent van Gogh over the span of his life that incorporates his biography.

The title of the work was The Annunciation and I saw it at the Cloisters Museum.
-Why were you drawn to it?
I was looking to go to the Cloisters Museum anyway to look at the Medieval art and to enjoy the beautiful space there.

The Flatiron Building is located at 175 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, NYC. This iconic structure is a national history landmark site and is famous for its elongated iron-like structure. Upon its completion, it was considered a groundbreaking skyscraper and was one of only two skyscrapers north of 14th Street.

When I think of “Power” today, I think of the traditional meaning of strength, but also the physical meaning of electrical power. This picture of a light bulb depicts electrical power in that sense.
