Oliver Silverman is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at The Graduate Center, CUNY. Their research is on the history of the concept of utopia and, more broadly, on the relationship of classical political concepts to forms of popular revolutionary thought and action. Their academic writing has appeared in Political Theory, History of the Present, Utopian Studies, and Theory & Event. They currently teach at John Jay College and before that, they taught in Political Science and Women and Genders Studies at Brooklyn College. They love CUNY and love teaching at CUNY.
